Problem Plasma won`t light again
Description Hello,

I went to this customer last and it was lighting fine when I left, but now it wont light at all. The customer said that they were able to run it 4 or 5 times after I left, but then it went out during a run giving a neb flow deviation and now it won't light at all. I had them try to lower the torchbox exhaust, but it still wouldn't light. I had them then try taking the intro system off and sealing the torch off. It still wouldn't light. I got the IGN and RUN files which I will attach next, but I am still not sure what I am looking at. I see a couple lines of the error code, but it seemed to ramp up until then.

Can someone look at these and see if it is something easy to do over the phone or if we should do another service visit?

Dear Jason,
You need a new SSG. Transitor two is broken. Please check also the feed through to the LPF if it is clean. The last run files are in EOP mode and they show that the nebulizer is blocked. When the serice engineer is going to exchange the SSG please keep in mind that we would like to have the last three ignition and run files produced during the tests after the exchange plus a picture from the serial number.

I still have to contact this customer to get the IGN and RUN files as the service engineer that put in the new part did not get these. I am putting this on hold for now.

Hello,

I got ahold of the customer here. Apparently they are shutting down the whole facility tomorrow so this instrument is going to sit there for a while.

I could not get into the Archive folder so I just tried to light the plasma a couple times. 2 times it lit and 2 times it did not light. I have also included the a couple extra run files from their last run yesterday.

I hope this is ok.

Dear Jason,
You have been very lucky to get the files prior they close down for the 4th of July. When I see it correct they are not using the instrument to often. The files you have send are looking OK. The ignition problem could be because of a slightly leak in the Argon. But that's maybe something for later. If you have no further questions or comments feel free to close the incident.
